As the founder of Gifted Quill, Nancy Lucas, utilizes her business skills and life experience in ministry which in turn strengthens her gift to write and inspire others. For those interested in similar God-honoring organizations or service, here are introductions and links for more information.
INVESTING
For the last three years, Nancy Lucas has served as the president of a Christian investing club in the Florida Keys called KISS. Kingdom Investors Sowing Seeds is an investment club for Bible-believing individuals dedicated to prayer and God-honoring personal financial management with an interest in investing each month in the stock market. The club’s goals are to:
- Honor God with all decisions;
- Learn about the stock market;
- Earn a profit on investments;
- Donate the “first fruit” to Christian Youth Missionaries (Natalie Porter was the first recipient of approx. $500 for her mission trip to Trinidad).
The club’s four investing principles are to:
- Invest Regularly;
- Reinvest Gains;
- Buy Growth Companies; and
- Diversify.
All meetings are free and open to the public with a free one-hour help class to complete homework before the club meets. For more information on individual investing visit BetterInvesting. The club refers to a list from Life Decisions International before purchasing stocks from companies who support Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. PUPPETRY
For the last seven years, Nancy Lucas has directed or co-directed a Christian puppet ministry in the Florida Keys traveling as far as New York by van with teenagers on a two-week mission trip. She has created several outreach mission events in her local community like the Easter Eggstravaganza, the Harambe Party, and the Halloween Outreach to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. She hopes to have her ideas published in magazines so more communities may take advantage of the ready-to-follow plans she has prepared. Performing Hearts is a multi-denominational team of Christians whose mission is to open people’s hearts to Jesus Christ in a fun way through dance, drama, music, and puppets with a simple message. It is an outreach of Island Community Church.
Pregnancy Centers / Abstinence / Purity
Shortly after accepting Christ, Nancy Lucas was drawn to volunteer with the local pregnancy center. Through her training and personal relationships with the center directors and staff, she gained greater insight into the consequence of her personal choices and of the culture’s sexuality. Because of her decision for abstinence-until-marriage and purity, she now enjoys the benefits with a successful, happy marriage and beautiful, healthy children.
