Nancy Lucas is a prolific writer, dreamer, and creator of ideas. She invents more projects than can be produced in one mere mortal’s lifetime. Other than her devotionals and weekly client stories that appear in local papers, her contribution to Everyday Grace, Everyday Miracle is her first written piece published. Six of her other books are tossed back in the air to another publisher after each rejection letter like a master juggler keeps the objects in his routine afloat. Meanwhile, Lucas waits for a fire to strike in a publisher’s mind so the wisdom in the books may come alive in people’s hearts. The mission with her writing is to bring about change in the world, one person and one family at a time. “If a reader walks away from one of my devotionals or books joyful for what they learn and apply to their lives I will be grateful,” Lucas said. Her inspiration comes from a verse in the Bible found in Nehemiah Chapter 8, Verse 12 (New International Version), “Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them.”

Bone of My Bone Study Guide
by Nancy Lucas
Bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh -- we’re in this life together yet we’re more estranged than ever. A book entitled Bone of My Bone and a companion self-help study guide give readers the keys to reconciliation. Through laughable moments in the book and in-your-face dialogue in the guide, readers reap eternal rewards through the four phases presented. The purpose is for readers to reconcile with God first, self second, family third, and others last. This study offers one man’s testimony of abuse, abandonment, and adoption. The resulting rebellion was crushed by salvation which gave way to restoration of broken relationships. The “others” gives a bold picture of cross-cultural forgiveness as well. The book was written by Pastor Tony Hammon, published in 2000 by Wisdom Press (ISBN#1-928554-03-2) and the study was written by Nancy Lucas.

Red Dress Diary
by Nancy Lucas
Purity faces her old self in one charmed night when she runs from the highest bidder to be simultaneously courted by five bachelors. This story is real -- not an arranged reality show. Red Dress Diary is the first Bible study to outline 10 lessons of walking a pure life – no matter at what age – in this culture through vivid imagery and personal testimony.
Written first person, it details the night Lucas was auctioned off in a charity date-night auction and the results. Lucas had betrayed her commitment to purity but God did not give her more than she could bear, rather he gave her an escape. This study offers others the same escape route with an extra dose of grace. The lessons are:
Lesson One: Do not be unequally yoked
Lesson Two: People have limits; seek God first
Lesson Three: Virtue is priceless
Lesson Four: God’s will wins
Lesson Five: It’s all good
Lesson Six: Evil waits to devour us
Lesson Seven: Fight the spiritual battle
Lesson Eight: Go tell your story
Lesson Nine: Think on things above
Lesson Ten: Repent and move on
